Summary:
Devices for lightning protection based on upward leader inhibition are commercially available worldwide, but current international standards on lightning protection do not provide suitable protocols for their verification. We describe here a series of tests performed on a prototype of electrostatic charge dissipation device with the aim of verifying its efficacy and reliability.
